The UCI Primary Care Associates provide clinical services for UCI Health patients of all ages in a variety of settings and locations throughout Orange County, CA. The incumbent is responsible for providing expert medical care to UCI Health patients with a range of potential illnesses, injuries, or disabilities. Their duties include conducting routine physical examinations on patients, referring patients to medical specialists, and/or prescribing medications based on the patient's medical conditions. The incumbent reports to the Medical Director and Primary Care Administrator.

Required:

• Family or Internal physician; board-certified or board eligible, full-scope ambulatory health care services including care of children, adults and the elderly.
• Experienced in providing and/or oversight of primary care.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes
• Leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers to maintain a professional, team-based approach in the care of patients.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives while in compliance of all UC policies and procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state and federal privacy laws
• California Medical license
• Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
• Candidate must have at least one year of experience working as a family or internal medicine.
