Title: Adjunct (general education) Requisition Number: P0001314 Open Date: 12/11/2025 Projected Start Date: 01/12/2026 Campus: Weatherford Campus [10] Job Type: Part-time Faculty Position Summary Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, and mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, whether face-to-face, hybrid, online, or dual credit instruction. All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures. Flexibility to teach evenings, Fridays, or weekend courses is preferred. Security Sensitive Requirement This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check. Males between the ages of 18 through 25 must be properly registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment. Required Education All faculty members must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards which normally include a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline. Required Experience Preferred education and experience qualifications are indicated as follows: Preferred Education: Master’s degree or higher in the subject area. Preferred Experience: Experience teaching at the postsecondary level, including online or hybrid modalities.
