Description JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION LINE FORKLIFT OPERATOR: JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY This job requires the Forklift Operator to perform the following tasks:
Reliability and acceptable attendance is required. It is critical to be punctual and arrive on time for work and to meetings (if applicable).
Productivity: Must consistently fulfill job responsibilities, knowing how to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Employee Retention: Build a culture employees and/or co-workers want to be a part of. Be helpful to others and work as a team toward company goals. Participate in an exceptional onboarding experience for new hires and ensure they have the necessary tools to succeed in their roles by welcoming and assisting them Interpersonal and Communication: Requires Forklift Training/Certification. Requires strong oral and communication skills; requires calculator knowledge to perform duties as assigned. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management team. Technical and Analytical: Requires good organizational skills and the ability to perform assigned tasks; requires the ability to accurately use scales and formula information. Administrative and Operations: Must adhere to departmental procedures; must also follow all safety guidelines established by the company. Physical Demands: Requires walking, standing, and bending; including lifting, not to exceed fifty pounds without a partner. Work Environment Factory environment, cold & wet, icy floors, forklift, and pedestrian traffic. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
- To move produce from the production floor to stacking room and then to warehouse to await shipment.
- To perform general labor
- To accurately label pallets from production, split pallets if needed, and accurately scan pallets in the correct bin locations.
- Pre-stage material as needed.
- To take direction from production manager/supervisor/lead and warehouse manager/supervisor/lead
- To work in a safe manner
- Any other task assigned by Leads or Supervisors.
- Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
- Use handheld scanner to complete inventory moves. And document all moves on batch sheet. Batch sheet to be turned in at end of your shift,
- 80% Transfer product from the production floor to the stacking room. Correctly wrap and label pallets, transfer, and scan to racks correctly. Place product in correct bins for storage.
- 10% Keep shrink wrappers clean, production floor clean and in order and clear of debris
- 10% all other duties as assigned by managers, supervisors, and leads
