We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support a fast-paced legal practice in Midland, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for a highly organized individual who can manage active matters, coordinate litigation support, and keep case activity moving efficiently. The role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a busy office environment with in-office attendance on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain case files, legal records, and supporting documentation to ensure matters are current and easily accessible.

• Prepare, review, and assemble materials related to discovery, pleadings, correspondence, and other litigation documents.

• Assist attorneys with trial preparation by coordinating exhibits, witness materials, timelines, and hearing binders.

• Track deadlines, court dates, and case activity through case management software while helping keep matters on schedule.

• Support work involving civil litigation as well as family law, criminal law, and wills and trusts matters.

• Communicate with clients, courts, and outside parties clearly and effectively to gather information and facilitate case progress.

• Conduct factual and document research to support legal strategy and ongoing case development.

• Provide high-level administrative and legal support in a busy office setting, including document formatting and file coordination.

• Prior experience working as a paralegal or legal secretary in an active legal practice.
• Demonstrated background supporting discovery and civil litigation matters.
• Familiarity with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and case materials.
• Experience using case management software to monitor deadlines, documents, and workflow.
• Working knowledge of legal matters related to family law, criminal law, or wills and trusts.
• Strong written communication, proofreading, and document preparation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a high-volume office environment.
