Supply Chain Analyst (Contract)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to support supply chain and operations initiatives for a growing organization in Chicago. This hybrid contract role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working with data, identifying process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor inventory levels, demand forecasts, and supply planning activities.
- Support purchasing, logistics, and operations teams with reporting and analysis.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and create dashboards and reports for leadership.
- Investigate supply chain issues and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and service levels.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support operational goals.
- Assist with forecasting, inventory management, and procurement planning.
- Maintain accurate data within ERP systems and supply chain platforms.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of supply chain, inventory, procurement, logistics, or operations analysis experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JDE, or similar.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.
- Manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products industry experience.
