Mission Critical - Superintendent

Mission Critical Superintendent Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mission Critical Superintendent to oversee and coordinate field operations for mission critical facility construction projects such as data centers, telecom hubs, and similar high-reliability environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex construction initiatives, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within project specifications. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate day-to-day field operations, schedules, subcontractors, and site logistics for mission critical facility builds. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and company standards. Oversee the quality and progress of all phases of construction, proactively resolving site challenges as they arise. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and milestones are met. Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and progress updates. Manage the proper use, storage, and maintenance of materials, tools, and equipment. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and high-performance among all on-site personnel. Lead regular site meetings and communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or construction-related certification is a plus. 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years managing mission critical projects (e.g., data centers, hospitals, call centers, utility facilities). Thorough knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and safety requirements for mission critical environments. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents. Demonstrated leadership and effective team management in dynamic environments. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with commissioning and turnover processes for mission critical projects. Industry certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP, or similar) a strong asset. Familiarity with BIM software and digital construction management platforms. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and supervisory abilities. Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and best safety practices. Excellent troubleshooting and decision‑making skills. Ability to effectively coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors. Time and resource management proficiency. Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on quality assurance. Adaptability and ability to perform under tight deadlines.
