Can be floated to any facility in the region: Boise, Meridian, and Nampa, within specialty and/or to be a 1:1 sitter in any area.)MedSurg: 7 units across all facilities (7 medsurg units 1 in Nampa, 2 in Meridian, and 4 in Boise), RatiosMedSurg: 1:5,Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS- required for allCommon diagnoses/Types of patientswill get from unit managersExperience or 'Must have' skillsMust have 2 years experience in specialty and previous travel experienceHighly prefer antepartum and mother baby experience for L&D travelersAre RNs required to titrate drips?ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, ICU, and PICU will be required to titrateCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsMedSurg insulinwill get from unit managersIs there a Charge Nurse on each shift & on each unit? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?Charge nurse on all unitsFloat pool has 7 assistant manager, 1 is always on call 24/7. They always round and touch base with travelers days, nights, and weekendsFloat pool leadership team including educator and admin have a shared email7 assistant managers on call- 1 is always on call 24/7Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on the units? Ratios? Duties?yes ratios: anywhere from 1:8-10 depending on floor and dayRT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?will get specifics from unit managersAre there tele/monitor techs on the units? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?NoShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)0700-1900 or 1900-0700.No self-scheduling. Cancellation may cancel up to 4 times per contract. Each cancellation could be a full shift or any part of a shift. (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).
