Location: Hanover Park, IL
Compensation: $65k~$75k
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (100% onsite, flex time can be considered after probation end)

The Technical Engineer - Mechanical designs and implements automated machinery systems using standard equipment configured to customer requirements. This position creates 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, selects equipment, performs engineering calculations, and supports installation, start-up, testing, troubleshooting, production, field service, and technical sales activities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned engineering projects, including scheduling, technical coordination, construction, installation, and trial runs.
- Create 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Design automated machine systems and process-flow diagrams based on customer requirements.
- Select and size machinery, systems, and equipment using appropriate engineering calculations.
- Perform allowable-stress, deflection, and other mechanical evaluations.
- Coordinate on-site equipment installation, start-up, testing, and system integration.
- Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues involving piping, filters, valves, sensors, and related components.
- Recommend equipment, system improvements, and customized technical solutions to existing customers.
- Provide technical support to sales, production, contractors, and field service teams.
- Communicate customer requirements and technical findings to internal departments.
- Monitor project schedules, identify delays or risks, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Direct contractors during installation or construction activities.
- Follow established safety procedures and prepare required reports.
- Travel occasionally by car or airplane.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional proficiency in English and Japanese.
- At least two years of related engineering experience.
- Experience creating mechanical drawings with AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Knowledge of mechanical system design, equipment selection, and engineering calculations.
- Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to use electrical meters, measurement instruments, and common hand or power tools.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Experience with industrial machinery, automation systems, equipment installation, or commissioning.
- Experience providing technical support to customers or sales teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments.
