Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Summary
This role is for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing direct patient care in a retail-based outpatient clinical setting. The clinician is responsible for delivering evidence-based care including patient assessment, treatment, medication administration, and coordination with interdisciplinary care teams. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Work Environment and Schedule
Work schedules are assigned in 6-week blocks following a 3-week training and orientation period. Shifts typically range from 7 to 10 hours during clinic operating hours. The standard schedule includes two to three weekdays per week and every other weekend. This role also requires availability for select major holidays. Scheduling is based on clinic operational needs.

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Primary Responsibilities
The LVN/LPN will conduct patient intake, perform clinical assessments, and complete point-of-care testing. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and support for preventive and acute care services. The nurse will administer medications as ordered, document all care accurately in an electronic medical record system, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. Collaboration with providers and clinical staff is required to support safe and effective patient care delivery.

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required Qualifications
Candidates must have at least one year of relevant clinical experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings. Experience primarily in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, home health, LTAC, or skilled nursing facilities may not align with this role.

Additional requirements include experience with phlebotomy, immunizations/vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing. Strong proficiency with electronic medical record systems is required; experience with Epic is strongly preferred. Active LVN/LPN license must be in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions. Candidates must also hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with expiration at least 30 days beyond the start date.
