Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed CVICU unit serving adult and geriatric populations with a 2:1 patient ratio (occasional 1:1)
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with complex cardiovascular diagnoses including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and Carotid procedures
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, and CRRT
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
• Participate in scheduled float rotation as required and work every other weekend or as needed to meet facility needs
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• Minimum of 1.5–2 years of CVICU experience (post-orientation)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner EHR
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and/or CRRT equipment
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage high-acuity cardiovascular patients
• Prior travel nursing experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting
