Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory kitchen role
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
• Ability to lead, train, and mentor a team
• ServSafe Certification or equivalent preferred

Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills:

• Previous experience within upscale or high-volume restaurants
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Familiarity with inventory and ordering systems
• Professional experience working with live fire ovens preferred

Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and team leadership
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring consistency and high quality
• Train and coach line cooks and prep staff, fostering a positive team culture
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering to maintain optimal stock levels
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Collaborate on menu development and execution of new dishes
