How you’ll make an impact in this role
Lead and support assigned security officers to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors while promoting teamwork and cooperation.
Monitor, guide, and evaluate staff performance, including reviewing reports for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
Coordinate daily security operations by prioritizing workflow, assisting with decision-making, and addressing escalated or unresolved issues.
Investigate, document, and manage security incidents, hazards, and safety concerns while performing regular security officer duties such as foot and vehicle patrols.
Assist the Security Manager with staffing, planning, budgeting, and staff development, while safely operating vehicles and enforcing campus traffic and parking regulations.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
