Java/AWS Engineer

Job Description As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain modern, highly available, and scalable interfaces for our next-generation platform, laying a foundation that will support the platform for years to come. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. 6+ years of hands-on software/cloud development and engineering experience. 3+ years of experience working on complex architectural designs and technology initiatives. 3+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban). 3+ years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD). Required Experience REST API development using Node.js and Java. Event-driven application design and development utilizing Kafka. Database development using Oracle PL/SQL. API Gateway publishing with Apigee/Stratum. Production support and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and Kibana. Nice to Have Application development on public cloud platforms such as AWS (Lambda, EKS, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB). DevOps and CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Jenkins Core, uDeploy, Concourse, and Terraform. Data modeling skills and experience implementing data processing pipelines. Containerization technologies such as Docker. Strong ETL background and understanding of operational data stores. End-to-end topology understanding, including application, network, and infrastructure components. Mainframe experience and COBOL knowledge. Experience developing and implementing automated test cases using BDD/TDD frameworks such as Jest, Cucumber, and Selenium. HCL Global Systems
