Full-time Responsibilities Maintains accountability for coordinating the care of trauma patients in order to ensure an organized, multidisciplinary approach for management of quality patient care both internally and externally in a trauma care system consistent with the criteria outlined in the most current edition of the American College Surgeons (ACS) "Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient". Requirements BSN Nursing. Current MI License required. Master's degree in nursing or business or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in the care of trauma patients. Advanced skills in critical care nursing required. Pertinent certifications related to the care of trauma patients (TNCC, ENPC, ATCN, TCRN) Management experience with background in budget oversight strongly recommended. A high level of interpersonal skills required to coordinate the multiple services. Analytical abilities required in order to evaluate the quality of care provided to trauma patients. Ability to maintain flexible working hours required. Physical Requirements Visual, hearing, and verbal abilities required in order to provide patient care, instruct personnel, and maintain records. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions. Prolonged periods of mental concentration.
