Step into a rewarding role supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade as a contract School Psychologist in the beautiful Burnsville, NC area. If you’re committed to promoting student success and well-being, your expertise will have a significant impact here. With a manageable caseload and a strong support system, your primary responsibility will focus on comprehensive testing and evaluations for determining eligibility in Exceptional Children (EC) programs and conducting reevaluations.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid North Carolina School Psychologist license
- Experience or knowledge in cognitive, adaptive, behavioral, and specialized screenings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Ability to effectively manage assessments for a diverse group of K-12 students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive, adaptive, behavioral, and specialized assessments for eligibility and reevaluations
- Interpret test results and compile detailed reports for multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, families, and administrators
- Support the educational team in developing tailored intervention and support plans
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation
