Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. The role involves handling non-judicial foreclosure, bankruptcy, and title matters, representing financial institution clients with loss mitigation and asset recovery services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional client service. Duties Draft and prepare legal documents for court filing, including FDCPA Letters, Demand Letters, Notices of Sale, and Sheriff's Deeds. Represent client interests and provide strategic legal counsel on various issues. Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. Review court alerts and provide compliance guidance promptly. Work cross-functionally with attorneys, legal assistants, support staff, and external vendors. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school. Minnesota licensed attorney. 5+ years of relevant legal experience in real estate, foreclosure, bankruptcy, title, collections, or creditors' rights. Knowledge of Minnesota court procedures and filing requirements. Experience in CaseAware or a similar case management system preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Strong organization and time management skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) required. Certifications Minnesota licensed attorney.
