PORTER (RECEIVER) (FULL TIME)

Job Title Porter (Receiver) Location & Schedule 1800 Owens Street, San Francisco, CA 94158. Full Time; Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Compensation $24.00 per hour. Application Notes No previous experience required. Key Responsibilities Ensure tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service. Follow safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts. Wash dishes, glasses and pots; clean cooking stations and equipment to maintain sanitation standards. Scrape and rinse food from dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyors to the dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation. Keep display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service. Help receive heavy deliveries from the dock and transport them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards. Maintain personal commitment to safety for self and others. Abide by all company policies and procedures, including: Use of medium-weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer. Use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables. Use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
