Underwriter II, Agriculture – Farm Family Farm Family specializes in farm and ranch protection with a range of products, serving the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets and expanding nationwide. Location: Office in Omaha, NE or Albany, NY. Travel to the field with brokers and agents a few times a year. Responsibilities Evaluate and underwrite new business submissions within the assigned territory to ensure profitable growth. Communicate products and services consistently and impactfully to agents and brokers. Represent Farm Family in client and agent meetings, demonstrating expertise and elevating the customer experience. Build and manage a strong submission pipeline aligned with production goals and business mix targets. Leverage market insights, use contacts to generate business, gather intelligence, and cross‑sell complementary products. Qualifications Moderate knowledge of farming or agriculture industry is highly preferred. Proven sharp analytical skills to navigate applications, risk information, and form language. Adaptability and ability to thrive within an ever‑evolving market. Significant communication, networking, and relationship‑building aptitude. Disciplined focus on execution, accuracy, and follow‑through with a sense of urgency. Outstanding organizational and time‑management talents. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $56,000 – $70,000, based on experience.
