Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Position available in a Level I Trauma Center. Exact city and state are not specified.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shifts, 4x10 hours (08:30 - 19:00), with potential adjustments. On-call shifts required for 1-2 weekends/holidays per month.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy department. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in conscious sedation, alongside sedation certification. The RN will work collaboratively within the endoscopy procedural and pre/post areas, ensuring optimal patient care throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient intake and recovery in the endoscopy unit with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Provide conscious sedation as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Assist in setting up procedure rooms and support physicians during endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and responses, intervening as necessary.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records using Epic charting software.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience with a preference for ICU background.
• Conscious sedation certification highly preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required.
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
