Implementation Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support a company during a system implementation project. This individual will play a key role in ensuring financial data integrity, assisting with data migration, validating financial information, and supporting the accounting team throughout the implementation process. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment. 85-90k DOE

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounting-related activities associated with a new system implementation.
• Review, reconcile, and validate financial data prior to and following data migration.
• Support chart of accounts mapping, data cleansing, and testing efforts.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and identify discrepancies or issues.
• Analyze financial transactions and ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve outstanding variances.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, IT, and implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities as needed.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to processes, procedures, and implementation activities.
• Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Previous experience supporting an ERP or accounting system implementation preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Experience:

• ERP implementation, conversion, upgrade, or optimization projects.
• Data migration and validation activities.
• Process improvement and system documentation.
• Public accounting or corporate accounting background.
