Help Desk Coordinator

Overview The Williston Northampton School, an independent coeducational boarding and day school located in Easthampton, MA, is hiring a full-time Help Desk Coordinator for the Technology Department. The role is Monday through Friday with occasional overtime and includes class Saturdays (40 hours per week). Responsibilities The Help Desk Coordinator will provide operating systems, information processing, administrative application, infrastructure, and Academic/Administrative End User support. The position will work closely with end users and assist the school’s technical professionals in maintaining and installing classroom and other hardware. Other responsibilities include: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Help Desk Manage vendor relationships Develop and implement help desk policies, procedures, and best practices Configure and image computers for users Communicate effectively with peers, users, and management levels Stay up to date with advancements in technology and propose improvements to existing systems Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection policies Qualifications Preferred: 2 to 3 years of experience in IT, preferably in an educational setting. Proven technical knowledge with the following technology requirements: All Microsoft Office product applications Outlook in a Microsoft Exchange Environment Office 365 Candidate must be committed, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with non-technical community members. Able to work independently and as a team member. Screening Requirements Must successfully complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information), SORI (Sex Offender Record Information), general and fingerprint-based background checks.
