Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is for a passionate educator who thrives on collaboration and individualized instruction, working on-site to serve students ranging from PreK to 12th grade for the 2026–2027 school year.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Professional Educator License in Deaf and Hard of Hearing, or eligibility for NC licensure via reciprocity
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Background working with PreK–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide services in-person; remote work is not available
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services aligned with students’ IEPs, fostering their academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with general and special education staff, related service providers, and families to craft and implement individualized strategies
- Conduct assessments, monitor student progress, and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation to ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal mandates
- Support students’ communication and social development across educational settings
Assignment Details:
- Dates: August 17, 2026 – June 4, 2027
- Part-time, 29 hours per week
- Caseload includes students from PreK through 12th grade
- Utilize platforms such as ECATS and Infinite Campus
