KDM is a growing, award-winning, minority- and woman-owned professional engineering firm focusing on electric, gas, site civil, and telecommunications engineering designs and support services. Salary $80,000 - $95,000 per year Responsibilities Design development, equipment layouts, construction drawings and bill of materials Proficiency of power engineering theories and principles. Researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations. Understanding of power distribution systems. Ability to understand complex initiatives across multiple teams/platforms. Demonstrated project management skills. Quantitative and analytical skill set. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing demands. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Engineering field. Requirements BS in Electrical Engineering. 4+ years of prior industry experience. Proficiency in producing quality electrical design drawings using AutoCAD, TED, and Microsoft Office programs. Ability to work with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to interpret and analyze customer electrical, architectural, and structural drawings, one-line diagrams, and load letters. Additional Requirements Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening, including drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screening. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Possession of a valid driver’s license.
