Executive Search Consultant focusing on finance and accounting at LHH fka Parker and Lynch Job Title: Controller Location: Elk Grove Village, IL Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually + bonus Benefits: Full medical coverage, 401(k) plan About the Role We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our small but dynamic service organization. This is a stand-alone leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys owning the full spectrum of accounting operations. The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including general accounting, transactional processes, payroll, and audit coordination , while playing a key role in implementing a new accounting system to support future growth. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and month-end close. Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Lead audit preparation and serve as the primary contact for external auditors. Implement and optimize a new accounting system to improve efficiency and reporting. Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies. Provide strategic financial insights to leadership to support decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit processes. Proven ability to work independently in a stand-alone role. Experience with system implementation and process improvement.
