Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit for patients presenting with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Diabetes, GI Bleeding, Altered Mental Status, Hypertension, and Renal Failure
• Perform and interpret telemetry cardiac monitoring continuously throughout the shift
• Perform IV insertions and assist with PICC line management
• Assist with and support unit-level procedures including lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, nasogastric tube insertion, and feeding tube insertion
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation
• Proficiency with IV insertion and PICC line management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Familiarity with procedures such as lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, and nasogastric or feeding tube insertion
