What They Do: Our client is a cloud-based software platform designed for contractors and roofing businesses, offering tools to streamline lead management, project tracking, sales automation, and customer communication while integrating seamlessly with industry workflows.

THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a VP of Finance & Accounting to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team as the company scales. This person will own the company’s financial planning, reporting, KPI management, and cash oversight while providing financial guidance across the business. The ideal candidate is a senior, hands‑on finance leader who can build structure, challenge assumptions, and help guide strategic decisions in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long‑term financial planning in partnership with the CEO and executive team

• Own monthly financial reporting, close oversight, and KPI reporting, providing leadership with clear visibility into company performance and cash position

• Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, pricing, margins, and growth decisions

• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and other leaders to evaluate performance, identify trends, and inform business decisions

• Lead board reporting and financial materials, including company performance, forecasts, and key financial insights

• Oversee the outsourced accounting function and related partners, ensuring accurate accounting, billing, collections, payables, and financial controls

• Evaluate the company’s pricing and payments strategy as the business expands its subscription and payments offerings

• Build the finance function, processes, and infrastructure needed to support continued growth

• Serve as a trusted voice on the leadership team by identifying financial risks, challenging assumptions, and recommending solutions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 6+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 2+ years in FP&A

• Experience leading finance in a B2B SaaS company with a strong understanding of subscription models and SaaS metrics

• Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and scenario analysis

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles, with experience overseeing an outsourced accounting function

• Demonstrated experience managing financial planning, reporting, and KPI analysis in a growing organization

• Strategic and analytical approach with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior leaders and challenge ideas when needed

• Comfortable working hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment and taking ownership without a fully built‑out finance function

• Startup or high‑growth company experience preferred

• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Arbo, Stripe, or payments processing is a plus

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

• Remote role with travel to Atlanta approximately once or twice per quarter

• Candidates based in the Southeast, particularly within reasonable proximity to Atlanta, are preferred
