Under the direction of the Team Lead, the incumbent is responsible for building windshields that are free from defect and adhere to expected quality specifications Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Runs power/air tools and utilizes drivers/mallets, on a precision basis for the purpose of building window systems.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Identifies mechanical and/or quality problems to proper department.
- Performs all job functions adhering to established safety standards and always maintains safe practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Any combination of education is equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Ability to effectively read and communicate both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and capacity to accurately read measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, calipers, etc) and to ensure all parts conform to specifications.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading with ability to identify reference marks for purposes of maintaining accurate parts or modifying those that may not meet the specified standards.
- Knowledge of part numbers as detailed in blueprints.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, twenty-five (25) to thirty (30) times per day.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools.
