Working with technical Leads (TL) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to design and implement new features. This team is primarily responsible for Java code and the PostgreSQL database. Successful candidates will join a development team in Ground Software and Image Science discipline, directly supporting solutions developed by L3Harris's Space Ground Solutions (SGS) Group.Maintain and add features to existing backend services. Design and implement new backend services. Maintain and create documentation about backend services and procedures. Provide daily status on work in the form of scrum updates and/or comments in JIRA/Bitbucket. Participate in software design, code reviews, testing, and configuration management processes Ensure software solutions meet mission, security, and performance requirements Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field and six years' experience; Experience with Java, preferably Java 11 or newer. Experience writing unit tests, preferably JUnit and Mockito. Experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL. Experience with Linux. Experience with Java build tools, preferably Maven. Experience with Java IDEs, preferably Netbeans. Experience with collaboration software like Bitbucket or Gitlab. Experience with continuous integration (CI) software like Jenkins. Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility Preferred Additional Skills:Experience in Java Enterprise development highly desired,preferably JBoss/Wildfly.Experience with scripting languages like Bash/Groovy/Python. Experience in C++. Experience with geospatial data and satellite imagery. Experience with OGC web services like WFS/WMS.
