Learn More About ProSidian Consulting at DescriptionProSidian Seeks a Construction Discipline Engineer - Civil - Construction (CO102) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients (For Present / Future Requirements) and ProSidian Team Members work as part of an Engagement Team Cadre to support requirements. Construction Discipline Engineer - Civil Candidates Serve as Field Civil Engineers responsible for:planning and technical oversight of field construction activities within a specified discipline associated with procurement, fabrication, installation, modification, and maintenance of systems and components.Coordinating with Design agencies to ensure timely issuance of new design or design changes.Walk down and review designs for constructability, resolve design problems encountered in the field during construction, and meets with and discuss solutions with Design Engineers.Inspects/verifies materials, equipment, and construction workmanship and assures compliance with drawings, specifications, and code requirements.Coordinates with Quality Control to ensure the installation meets the requirements. Participates in turnover activities. Supports / participates in start-up and functional check out of equipment and systems. The position requires a thorough understanding of Construction Engineering principles and the ability to apply these principles to field conditions. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in **(specified discipline) engineering and at least 5 years of practical experience in construction **(specified discipline) field engineering or Associate's degree in (specified discipline) engineering and 5-10 years of practical experience in construction **(specified discipline) engineering or High school diploma and 10+ years of practical experience in construction **(specified discipline) engineeringWorking knowledge of discipline-specific codes and standardsPrevious experience with generating work execution plans (preferably utilizing the Asset Suite work control system)Previous experience with generating job hazards analysisPrevious experience performing material take-off and procurement**Specific Discipline = (Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Civil, Instruments, and Controls) as determined by the requestorAdditional Position Requirements: Work hours: A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRR construction utilizes a 10 hour per day four days per week schedule.A standard workweek is Monday through Thursday at 6:30 am 5:00 pm.
