Workday Report Writer (Finance)

Roles and Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain custom Workday Finance reports and dashboards using Report Writer, Report Designer, and Prism Analytics.
- Translate business requirements into accurate and actionable reporting solutions.
- Configure and maintain Finance-related Workday objects, including Expense Items, Worktags, Ledger Accounts, Payment Terms, Procurement Reasons, Requisition Types, Revenue Categories, Spend Categories, Cost Centers, and Organizations.
- Develop and analyze financial reports and metrics to support business decision-making.
- Gather requirements from Finance and business stakeholders and provide effective reporting solutions.
- Validate and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure report accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain existing reports and dashboards, including layouts, data sources, calculations, and security.
- Follow data governance, security, and change-control processes.
- Document reporting requirements, specifications, processes, and provide end-user support and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience developing and managing Workday Finance reports and dashboards.
- Strong proficiency with Workday Report Writer, Report Designer, and Calculated Fields.
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and Adaptive is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes, including GL, AP, AR, FP&A, and Fixed Assets.
- Strong data analysis, reconciliation, and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
