About the Opportunity

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring Maintenance Technicians to support facility and equipment operations at a Nike distribution center in Memphis, TN. This is an opportunity to put your hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance skills to work in a fast-paced distribution environment, with the potential to transition to a permanent position.

We are looking for dependable technicians who enjoy troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and helping keep operations running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Inspect equipment, identify potential problems, and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documents, and electrical or mechanical schematics.
• Document maintenance activities and complete assigned work orders.
• Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements and applicable OSHA standards.
• Work with operations and maintenance team members to support equipment reliability and daily facility performance.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment and identify equipment problems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and equipment repair.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, material-handling equipment, or automated machinery is beneficial.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, use maintenance tools safely, and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights or in other challenging maintenance environments as required.

Nice-to-Have Experience

The following skills are beneficial but are not required :

• PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation troubleshooting.
• Variable-frequency drives (VFDs), HMIs, photo eyes, and other sensors.
• Training or mentoring other maintenance team members.
• Identifying process improvements and participating in root cause analysis.
• Managing spare parts inventory or coordinating vendors and contractors.

Candidates with solid hands-on maintenance skills are encouraged to apply even if they do not have every preferred qualification.
