Most general manager jobs come with a brand playbook and a building that looks like every other one on the exit ramp. This one comes with a five-story landmark that's been the heart of downtown Parkersburg since 1889 — and a community that has opinions about it, because they've been coming here for generations. Compensation and Benefits

$80,000 - $85,000 per year. Full-Time Team Members receive benefits including health, dental, vision, and life, 401(k), STD, LTD, paid holiday, vacation, personal & sick time, lean management training, and numerous other employee discount benefits through our HR provider LL Roberts.

What you'll own

You'll run a full-service hotel: guest rooms, a restaurant, and a banquet and catering operation that hosts this community's weddings, business meetings, and celebrations. That means owning the sales and profitability of every one of those revenue streams — the budget you build and manage, the revenue management strategy, and the financial statements you read closely enough to act on. You'll oversee the accounting functions and work with your department heads on their budgets.

You'll also set the standard for everything guests experience — service programs, guest feedback, complaints handled personally when they need to be — and walk the property often enough to catch the condition of guest rooms, public areas, banquet space, and grounds before anyone else does.

And you'll build the team. Hiring, training, developing, and scheduling your managers across rooms, food and beverage, and events; giving day-to-day guidance; recognizing good work and addressing what isn't working. You'll stay visible and accessible to guests, staff, and vendors, and you'll jump into any department when the hotel needs it — because that's the job.

What we're looking for

• Full-service hospitality experience — rooms plus food and beverage, with banquet and catering exposure strongly preferred
• Two to four years of related experience or equivalent; college degree in a related field preferred
• Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a team
• Strong grasp of hotel financials — budgets, revenue management, and reading a P&L
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the judgment to make sound decisions quickly
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities without losing your footing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and Google applications
• Bilingual is a plus
