Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a busy manufacturing company in Orange, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented customer service professional who enjoys managing customer orders from start to finish and serving as a key point of contact for customers, internal teams, and shipping updates.

As a Customer Service Representative and Order Desk Associate, you will help ensure orders are entered accurately, customer questions are handled professionally, and shipments are followed through to completion. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is looking for a stable role with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive and process customer orders submitted by phone, email, and website.
- Open order tickets, purchase orders, and related documentation accurately.
- Follow customer orders from entry through shipment and delivery updates.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, product questions, shipment timing, and general issues.
- Coordinate with internal departments to help resolve order, shipping, or customer service concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely follow-up to customers and team members.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $22 to $25 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage customer orders from initial request through completion.
- Process tickets, purchase orders, and order documentation.
- Follow up on shipments and communicate order status updates.
- Handle a variety of customer calls and service-related issues.

- 3 to 5 years of customer service, order desk, order entry, or related experience.
- Experience supporting customers by phone, email, and web-based order channels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering and tracking orders.
- Ability to manage multiple orders, requests, and follow-ups in a busy environment.
- Professional communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based customer service environment.
- Familiarity with purchase orders, shipment tracking, order processing, or ticketing systems.
- Experience working in a temp-to-hire or fast-paced order desk support role.
