Domestic Violence Shelter Manager, Social Services Pay: $30-$32 per hour. Join the Korean Women's Association (KWA) in Pierce County as a full‑time Domestic Violence Shelter Manager, Social Services. In this role you will oversee all aspects of shelter operations, victim services, and staff supervision to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, survivor‑centered support. Shelter Management Essential Duties and Responsibilities Hotline (Shelter) Management Program Management Advocacy and Collaboration Facility Management Position Requirements, Competencies and Qualifications Satisfactorily pass criminal history and reference checks. Respect for all cultures and ability to interact with diverse groups. Experience in victim/survivor advocacy and crisis intervention/counseling preferred. Knowledge of gender‑based violence issues and their impact on individuals and families and experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers, internet searches, smartphone devices, and other software packages. Ability to maintain effective relationships with staff, volunteers, community and national partners. Knowledge of and sensitivity to domestic violence issues and trends preferred. Knowledge of service area resources preferred. Experience working in a DV shelter or transitional housing environment preferred. At least two years’ experience working in a DV shelter or DV survivor service as required by WAC 388.61A. Experience working with vendors and service providers. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; ability to handle multiple priorities. Required to complete 20 hours of annual continuing education and 5 hours of supervisor training per WAC 388-61A. Must carry a company‑provided cell phone and be available after normal business hours for emergency situations. Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, or other related field preferred. Minimum of fifty hours of training on DV issues and advocacy within three years prior to hire. Minimum two years’ experience providing advocacy to victims of DV within a DV agency. Two years of staff supervision experience in a community‑based organization preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
