Medical Assistant - Riverhead/Southampton

Job Description:

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation’s largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Riverhead and Southampton office.

Hourly: $23/hr

Responsibilities:

* Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately * Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms * Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit * Assist providers during examinations and procedures * Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in‑office lab testing * Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies * Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed * Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results * Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly * Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

* Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred * Experience with Epic EMR preferred * Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience

Education / Certification Requirements: Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA. Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered:

* Bachelor’s degree in Biology * Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification * Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Schedule

* Monday: 8:00am-4:30pm (Riverhead) * Tuesday: 8:00am-4:30pm (Southampton) * Wednesday: 8:00am-4:30pm (Southampton) * Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm (Southampton) * Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm (Riverhead) * Saturday (1-2 per month): 8:00 - 12:00PM
