Overview Stony Brook University School of Medicine, State University of New York, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Division of Cardiology. Positions are available at Southampton, Center Moriches and Hampton Bays sites. Responsibilities Perform clinical evaluations of patients, including histories, physical examinations and laboratory testing. Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Provide counseling and advice to patients and families. Required Qualifications NYS license and certification as a Physician Assistant, with a bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited physician assistant school. NYS license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with a master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing or completion of a nurse practitioner program. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Previous experience in cardiology. Special Notes Non-Tenure Track position.
