Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Neuro ICU Nurses!

Job Description:

- Shifts: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 1 year with Epic EMR
- Strong Neuro ICU experience
- Competence in handling EVDs, lumbar drains, and SAH patients

- Certification Requirements:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS

- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients with neuro injuries including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, post-op neurosurgery, and neurovascular interventions
- Maintain EVDs and ensure patient safety
- Float to other units as needed, based on qualifications and competencies

- Patient Care Details:
- Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 13
- Number of Beds: 16
- Interdisciplinary Support:
- IV Teams
- Physical Therapy
- Respiratory Services
- Rapid Response Teams
- Social Services

- Unit Equipment and Skills:
- Central line care/management
- Ventilator Management
- Blood Product Administration
- Infection Prevention

- Floating Requirement:
- Staff may float to other Prisma Health units and campuses based on census needs.

- Orientation:
- Complete 40 hours of orientation.
