As a Team Leader, you will work alongside facility management to ensure that your team is aligned and working toward common goals. Pay Rate: Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour Guaranteed Progression: 50-cent per hour increases at 90 days, 1 year, and annually thereafter for a total of 5 years, reaching the maximum rate at 5 years in this role. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Team Leader, your responsibilities will include: Training Personnel: Guide and develop your team to ensure they meet production and safety standards. Conducting Inspections: Ensure pallets meet customer specifications and maintain quality control. Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed. Production Goals: Help your team meet daily production goals by providing clear direction and setting priorities. Reporting: Prepare reports, correct discrepancies, and maintain accurate pallet inventory. Shift Transitions: Responsible for smooth transitions between shifts and the setup of work areas. Collaboration: Work closely with location management to identify and address any operational or safety training needs. Establishes and maintains consistent and proper communication with internal and external management teams. Partners with onsite management team to ensure the customer's expectations of the highest level of quality standards and service are achieved. Responsible for meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly production goals. Reviews and analyzes daily and weekly reports to ensure constant improvement in operations. Partners with onsite management team to ensure timely completion and administration of all employment tasks including employee scheduling, timekeeping, performance reviews, corrective actions, status changes, separations, attendance, and timely submission of required payroll data. Supervises or assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and retention of employees. Works with the onsite management team in administering operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery. Serves as an interface between operations, customers, administration, employees, and logistics. Provides leadership and guidance to frontline employees. Establishes and communicates goals and objectives. Emphasizes accountability and inspires positive behavior changes. What We’re Looking For: Education: Associate's Degree (preferred but not required). Experience: 6+ months of experience in a leadership or similar role. Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily and meet production goals. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external partners. Analytical skills to review reports and identify areas for improvement. Experience with employee relations, including scheduling, timekeeping, performance management, and HR processes. A strong understanding of operational standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift. Capable of repeatedly lifting and moving pallets and materials, which may be heavy. Requires good manual dexterity and tactile sensitivity for inspecting pallet condition. Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment. Excellent vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) for inspecting pallets and observing surroundings for safety. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
