Litigation Partner | New York, NY | $400,000 to $450,000 Base + Equity Partnership | Hybrid We are working with a national law firm of roughly 160 attorneys, more than 50 of whom are partners, that is adding a Litigation Partner in its New York office. The firm is open on practice area. Commercial litigation, white collar and government investigations, antitrust, and adjacent disputes work are all of interest. This is a firm where a partner can actually move the needle. It is small enough that people know what the group down the hall is working on, and large enough to staff and finance serious matters. Average billing rates run well into the four figures, and the billable expectation is 1,600 hours, which leaves real room to build. What the role looks like You would come in with a portable practice, ideally in the range of $2 million, and the runway to grow it. The first twelve months are on a fixed base salary. After that you enter the partnership, and every partner here is an equity partner. There is no non-equity tier and no long purgatory before you are a real owner. The firm has a defined origination credit system, which matters more than it sounds. Partners are encouraged to cross-sell across groups, and if you bring in work that lands in another practice, you are still paid for it. That is the practical reason the cross-selling actually happens instead of just being talked about. They also run a formal lateral partner integration program. New partners are given introductions, internal visibility, and a plan for the first year rather than a login and a door key.
