AutoCad Drafter

Chalmette, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter with experience in fabrication, reading and creating technical drawings, and supporting production and engineering teams with accurate design documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications in a fast-paced industrial environment. Essential Duties Create, modify, and maintain AutoCAD drawings for fabrication and production projects Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Work closely with fabrication, engineering, and production teams to ensure drawing accuracy Update drawings based on project changes and field modifications Prepare detailed layouts, dimensions, and material specifications Ensure all drawings comply with company and industry standards Assist with project documentation and file management Support fabrication processes by providing accurate and timely drafting services Requirements / Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD software required Experience in fabrication, drafting and industrial environments preferred Ability to read and create technical drawings and blueprints Strong understanding of drafting standards and design principles Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication and teamwork skills Associate degree or technical certification in drafting/design preferred Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to walk through fabrication and production areas as needed Ability to visually review detailed drawings and specifications Must be able to work in an industrial environment when required Equal Opportunity Statement: Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
