Job PostingPay: $27 - $30 / Hour (Based on Experience)Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDrive CDL A and B trucksUnloading deliveries, freight operations.Perform both pre-and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in compliance and safe to operate.Performing daily maintenance of truck (Refueling, cleaning etc.)Report all damages and/or injuries in a timely manner.Ensuring that the truck always has sufficient fuel.Proper securement of the cargo load to prevent damages and/or injuries.Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions.Load and unload Cargo (If applicable)Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers.Adhere/follow ALL company "Safety" practices, policies, and procedures, including DOT requirements.Provide excellent customer service.Adhere to company rules and regulations.Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, compliance and deliver as instructed.Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.Follow directions and open communication with supervisors, dispatcher(s) and customers.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.Always make safety a priority.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Must have a valid Hawaii Driver's license with current Commercial Driver's license (CDL) Class A(H) Hazmat endorsements and TWIC card is required.Driver history must consist of No violations, at-fault accidents, or traffic-related convictions within 3 years.No DUI/DWI convictions.3-5 years of local port driving experience.A current DHR from the DMV is a must.Ability to drive safely irrespective of the weather or time of day.Must be able to pass and complete a pre-employment DOT physical exam & drug test (to include marijuana, medical marijuana, and THC) and to obtain a Medical Card as required by the DOT.Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems.High level of composure and good stress management.Education And Experience:High school diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. unassisted.Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.Crouch and squat for the pre & post inspectionsBenefits:Health Care, 100% Employer paid!401k with MatchPTO, two weeks for first year employees11 paid holidays yearlyFSA and Supplemental BenefitsEAP (Employee Assistance Programs)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
