Associate Attorney: Hands-on Commercial Litigation

Job Description Job Description Associate Attorney Position The New Orleans office of Carver, Darden, Koretzky, Tessier, Finn, Blossman & Areaux, LLC is seeking an associate attorney to join our outstanding legal team. Our ideal candidate has between 3-6 years of experience in commercial or corporate litigation matters with a desire to experience a broad practice area working directly with the firm’s partners. The candidate should possess excellent writing skills, be a hard worker that is self-motivated, and be eager and able to think on their own. Our associates regularly handle matters under the direction of a senior partner or on their own, with the ability to get immediate and substantive court room and transactional experience from the start. Responsibilities include:

• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery and other substantive legal documents.
• Manage all aspects of cases and ensure deadlines are met.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and clients to ensure goals are met.
• Work directly with senior attorneys on case strategy.

Required Qualifications

• Active Louisiana law license and good standing.
• Strong writing, time management, and communication skills.
• Great work ethic with a desire to take ownership of cases and files
