Pediatric RN - Nights

Location: Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30); every third weekend required.

Job Description: Join our team as a Pediatric RN in a general medical-surgical pediatric unit. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients aged from neonates to young adults. The unit has 5 inpatient beds and also manages a Pediatric ED with additional 5 beds, focusing on diagnoses such as respiratory issues, NICU step down, and GI illnesses. You will collaborate with a dedicated staff, including a 24/7 pediatrician hospitalist and neonatal NP.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to pediatric and some adult patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage patient care activities in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor and assess patient condition and report any changes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health maintenance.
• Participate in unit management and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact State.
• BLS, PALS certifications required; NRP preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in a general medical surgical unit is advantageous.
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR documentation.
