What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Knowledge of school-based evaluation and therapy practices
- Experience with IEP development and participation
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and related service professionals
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience in a school setting preferred
What you’ll do:
- Conduct assessments of students' functional abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs and 504 plans)
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students within the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a team-based approach
- Educate staff and parents on strategies for classroom success and carryover of skills
