General Manager

General ManagerCulligan is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee our business operations at the store branches. The General Manager will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. As General Manager, your duties also include guiding staff in your branch, setting performance objectives, evaluating, and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld, and preparing operations and financial reports. To be successful as a General Manager, you should be able to lead and manage people, ensure operations run smoothly, and achieve revenue targets. Ultimately, a top-notch General Manager should be able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Specific Job Function:Full operational responsibility for all profit and loss related activities of the branchPrepare all staff members to be in position to deliver exemplary customer service and measure the job performance of the staff to ensure customer satisfactionAdhere to and enforce all company safety guidelines; Responsible for the timely and accurate filing of paperwork relative to insurance reporting of general liability, fleet accidents, and worker compensation claimsProtect and manage branch assets effectivelyFoster a team culture by recognizing and motivating branch personnelPrepare accurate business forecasts and budgetsOversee branch payables, inventory, and receivablesPersonally respond to difficult customer inquiries and/or unusual situationsManage the efficient routing of deliveries and service callsExecute program(s) to meet/exceed the sales planMaintain awareness of local competition and using market trends to inform strategic decisions and improve competitive positioningParticipate in the recruitment process, from interviewing to selecting candidates, and ensure smooth onboarding for new hiresIdentify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilitiesMonitor and evaluate employee performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performanceMay be required to perform the job duties of other branch staff on an as needed basis and spend time in field assisting with trainingOptimize branch efficiency by consolidating/automating job duties wherever possibleQualifications:Four-year degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferredDirect responsibility for P&L performance, including revenue, costs, and marginsProven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams5 years of Basic Plumbing, Operations, Management, and Marketing is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectivelyAbility to work with all levels of managementAbility to generate sales growthStrong sales generation ability and financial performanceAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities; strong decision-making and problem-solving abilitiesStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeCompetencies:ResourcefulnessCustomer FocusTeam PlayerPassionIntegrityOrganizational/PlanningCommunicationAnalytical Judgement/Decision MakingDetail OrientedTarget Salary Range: $100,000 - $160,000 salary a year with the opportunity for eligible employees to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
