General Warehouse Associate

This role offers an opportunity to build hands-on experience in a large industrial warehouse environment, working with steel products and material handling equipment. You will start on first shift for comprehensive training before transitioning to second shift, learning to operate an overhead crane, forklift, and other tools while supporting daily warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Train on first shift for 34 weeks to learn warehouse processes, safety procedures, and overall operating rhythm.
• Operate an overhead crane to safely move, lift, and position steel materials as directed.
• Operate a forklift to load, unload, transport, and stage materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure materials meet required specifications.
• Perform general labor tasks such as organizing inventory, staging orders, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures while handling equipment and materials.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and shipping materials as needed to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, report issues, and support continuous workflow.

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
