Member Experience AI Specialist

As we continue to innovate the member experience, we're looking for an enthusiastic, people-oriented professional to help us build the future of member communication. About the Role We're looking for someone who is excited about artificial intelligence—not because they know how to code, but because they want to help teach AI how to communicate like a real member services professional. In this role, you'll train and refine AI assistants that will eventually help manage email inboxes for a variety of club departments and programs. Think of yourself as a coach, not a programmer. You'll help the AI understand how we communicate with members, answer questions, solve problems, and deliver the exceptional hospitality Lakeshore is known for. This is a highly collaborative, member-focused position that works closely with teams across the club to improve communication while maintaining our high standards of service. This role is in person and part of the Club leadership team. Which also means being involved with programs you are helping the AI bot to understand. What You'll Do Train AI assistants to accurately respond to member questions and inquiries. Review, test, and improve AI-generated email responses. Teach AI the tone, personality, and hospitality standards of Lakeshore Sport & Fitness. Work with department leaders to understand their programs, policies, and common member questions. Identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency while preserving a personalized member experience. Continuously refine AI performance through testing, feedback, and ongoing learning. Serve as an internal champion for AI tools and help teams become comfortable using them. Step into member-facing situations when needed to better understand how our members communicate and what they expect. What We're Looking For A genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technology. Outstanding written communication skills. Friendly, outgoing, and naturally personable. Excellent judgment and attention to detail. Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once. Comfortable learning new software and technology. Collaborative, positive, and adaptable. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. You Do NOT Need A computer science degree. Coding or programming experience. An IT or data analytics background. Experience building AI models. If you can communicate well, understand people, and enjoy learning new technology, we'll teach you everything else.
