The Court Program Specialist I provides guidance and support to judges on substantive and procedural legal matters, with a focus on felony mental health cases. The role serves as a liaison between the Judiciary and stakeholders including other courts, attorneys, and community-based service providers to improve access to court services. Responsibilities include consulting with judges on mental illness cases, coordinating community-based services, managing defendant caseloads, preparing cases for hearings, and maintaining case documentation.
