Associate Attorney

A respected and rapidly growing boutique litigation firm in Houston is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain meaningful courtroom experience while working alongside seasoned trial lawyers on sophisticated civil litigation matters. The firm represents insurers, businesses, and other clients in complex litigation and is known for its collaborative culture, hands‑on mentorship, and commitment to developing trial attorneys. The practice includes insurance disputes, commercial litigation, and other high‑stakes civil matters. Responsibilities Manage an active insurance defense caseload from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda. Take and defend depositions. Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy. Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances. Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts. Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as opportunities arise. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Texas. 2+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and client management abilities. Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment. Deposition and courtroom experience are a plus.
