Attorney - associate - law

Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Associate Trial Attorney in Houston, TX. The candidate should have a strong interest in litigation, with three years of experience preferred. The role requires working closely with attorneys to ensure cases are well-organized and trial-ready. This position is office-based and not remote.

Duties Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate litigation skills.

Manage all aspects of cases from intake through disposition.

Conduct daily court proceedings, motions practice, and filings.

Organize case files and ensure trial readiness.

Interpret social cues from judges, opposing counsel, and clients.

Address issues independently during cases.

Communicate effectively with clients and juries.

Requirements Minimum 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil defense.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.

Familiarity with billing time and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications Licensed to practice law in Texas.
